There was a bit of a shipping delay. A-premium was quite adamant that they were not going to ship a part that was not meant for my F-150.   I can see their concern as returns can get expensive; and nobody likes to receive a part that's been returned before.
 To A-Premium's credit, nobody likes the delays caused by receiving a wrong part either. Nice to know real people are there making an effort so your repair goes smoothly.

I just purchased my '03 truck with high mileage, so like those many who have been down this path,  there are a lot of OEM  parts that are past their life expectancy.  My aim was to replace the cables in kind.  Apparently, a mechanic installed the slightly shorter cable (87.2" vs 88.7").

That said, I did get the cables fairly quickly. I preferred cables with metal retainers, so these cable were a good choice.

I have since purchased an A-premium  power steering pump. The cost was reasonable.  Why gamble on the OEM pump lasting several more years.  The same thinking went into replacing the parking cables.  It's just so much easier when you have easy access.
